Our Tattoo Removal Technology
The Astanza Trinity
We mean it when we say Ink Doubt delivers the best laser tattoo removal results throughout Englewood, Denver, and beyond. Our confidence stems from many things, but most notably from the laser technology we use. Afterall, a laser tattoo removal clinic is only as successful as the laser it uses.
Our Astanza Trinity laser is an FDA-approved combination system that produces a total of three versatile wavelengths through two standalone systems, a Q-switched Nd:YAG laser and a Q-switched ruby laser. Together, these lasers create the Trinity, an advanced laser system that delivers full-spectrum removal across all tattoo colors and all patient skin types.
The key to removing a tattoo effectively is having and using the right wavelengths of light energy for each unique tattoo. Laser tattoo removal is all about the absorption of light energy. This process is what allows an ink particle to heat up and shatter into smaller fragments that your body can then naturally remove. If an ink particle reflects a laser’s wavelength, it will remain intact in your skin.
Every laser’s wavelength(s) targets a specific group of ink colors. That being said, the more wavelengths a laser has, the more colors it can effectively treat and remove. Unlike our competitors’ dual-wavelength lasers, our Astanza Trinity laser uses three wavelengths to target the widest range of ink colors. Here is a breakdown of the color groups each of our wavelengths targets:
- 1064 nm: This wavelength works best on darker colors like black and grey, which are actually the easiest colors to remove. Other colors include dark brown, dark blue, and dark purple. The 1064 nm wavelength is virtually every tattoo because most tattoos contain black ink, usually found in outlining or shading.
- 532 nm: This wavelength is used on warmer colors like red, orange, yellow, and light browns. Second to black, red is one of the most popular inks used in tattoos.
- 694 nm: This wavelength is a ruby wavelength and is used specifically for targeting bright blue, green, and violet tattoos. Vibrant pigments such as these are not fazed by the 1064 nm and 532 nm wavelengths. If you have a multicolored tattoo with bright blue and green ink, make sure you go to a provider that provides this ruby wavelength!
In addition to its full-spectrum capabilities, our Trinity produces high peak power using ultra-quick pulse durations. This feature helps the laser penetrate deep into the skin and shatter more ink with each session while leaving the surrounding skin tissue unharmed.

The Zimmer Cryo
If fear of pain is what’s standing in the way of you getting laser tattoo removal, you’re not alone! In fact, one of the most commonly asked questions Ink Doubt we get is, “Does the laser hurt?” Depending on your pain threshold, laser tattoo removal can feel like a rubber band snapping against your skin or like having a tattoo applied all over again. But even for patients with high a pain tolerance, Ink Doubt’s main concern is making sure each treatment is as comfortable as possible.
To make treatments easier and more enjoyable for everyone, we have invested in the Zimmer Cryo cooling device. This machine is the ultimate skin numbing solution and provides maximum comfort before, DURING, and after your treatment. The Zimmer is a noninvasive machine that provides relief exactly when you need it. It works by blowing freezing cold air (-30º C) through a long hose that is directed to the treatment site. It only takes a few seconds to numb the skin effectively.
The DESCRIBE® PFD Patch
Ink Doubt is very excited to announce the addition of the PFD Patch. The DESCRIBE® PFD Patch is a special laser tattoo removal accessory that gives us the ability to treat a tattoo multiple times in a single tattoo removal session.
Traditionally, laser tattoo removal is known to be a single-pass treatment, meaning your tattoo can only be treated once in a single laser session. This helps reduce over-treatment of the skin and avoids greater epidermal injury.
The PFD Patch not only allows us to treat your tattoo up to 4 times in one session, it also produces benefits such as better results in fewer treatments, added protection from thermal injury, and reduced laser light scattering for deeper penetration and optimal ink shattering.
How It Works
During your treatment, your laser technician will apply the silicone gel PFD Patch on top of your tattoo. Laser treatment will then be performed naturally through the transparent PFD Patch. The main ingredient in the PFD Patch (perfluorodecalin) is a special liquid that helps dissolve gas and provides oxygen to the skin, allowing for multiple laser passes in a single treatment.
The PFD Patch is extremely safe to use and provides numerous benefits to laser tattoo removal treatments. Ink Doubt is proud to be an exclusive Denver provider of the PFD Patch and guarantees better results for you and your unwanted tattoo.
